Extremely fun to while away creating little critters but I'm not going to draw any conclusions from this as to the main game - just enjoy it for what it is and pray SPORE lives up to the hype

My quick attempt at a dragon type creature;

The fun part is watching them run around. I tried to create a monkey type creature that didn't just walk on it's hind legs but it seems the hands can only be used as hands?

Oh man, it's so awesome. Love it to death. I'll be spending way too much time with this when I want to play something but don't have time for Metal Gear. Thanks for the link, man. Brilliant fun just dicking around with this thing. If anything could put a smile on my face after losing another drum pedal, this was it.

Hope you recognize the last one. I was having trouble painting its underbelly a separate color and couldn't figure out how to recolor his eyes. I'm surprised by the limitations of the paint tools, especially since people are already making penis monsters with this.

Use the mouse wheel on buts of the skeleton to fatten or thin that area of the flesh. I didn't know this! Also, you can have ape like creatures if you put the ape like hands on the arms. Doh.

Yeah they actually had a whole sub-team work on various filter/review systems.

I want to know what the guys who worked on this game think about all these creations. I find them amusing and harmless but I suppose it is a little discrediting.

Gah, so fun. Here is a sample of what I've come up with so far.

I started out just dicking around to see what I could do. This one emerged from me trying to get a feel for the editor.

Then I figured I should have a try at making something that I actually would enjoy playing through the full game with. So I made this:

Those two were made before I knew how to make different parts of the animal fatter or thinner. (thanks, Cigol) With this new information in hand, I started out trying to make a happy face thing, but ended up just having fun with it instead:

I especially liked that that one had suckers for feet. And the legs separating halfway down was cool too.

At this point, a passer-by wanted to know what the hell I was doing. I showed her the editor and this is her creation:

I dig the three legs on it. Thought it was some good work.

Finally, I could no longer resist the urge to make a kitty. This is my attempt:

A decent enough approximation, but I really wish I had access to the other 3/4 of the creature creator to do a better job.

I'm playing this more than Metal Gear. What the hell is wrong with me?

Thanks for that tip Cigol! You can also try holding down Control when placing limbs (you can place limbs on top of limbs).

Also try the Tab button for advanced rotation tools on things such as eyes.
