The three point landing is basically the "Look at how cool I am" button for anything involving falling from a great distance/entering into a battle in style. You may increase the cool factor by extending one of your legs unnecessarily.

Yeah sort of. But this thing will probably stick less because it's usually just a few seconds in a movie. But nonetheless it will probably bug me.

I really try to stay away from things like that because it will just ruin me. Same thing as 24p mode, DVD upscaling, etc. I simply don't want to see/hear the difference.

Basically, movies are played back at 24Hz, but screens display at 60Hz or 100Hz. That doesn't map well, so there is a very subtle visual artifact. In 24p mode the screen's refresh and frames match up giving better playback quality.

You won't notice the misaligned playback until you see the synced playback.
