toblix Posted March 9, 2009 So, what does everyone think? I bought it and expected my life to fall apart around me as I sat playing for days on end while my ass-skin merged with the textile of my chair, like with Puz 1, but sadly I was disappointed. Although fun, the whole space ship (more like space shit) thing is just stupid, waiting for the fucking thing to fly to where you just moved your mouse so your click can register. That's bullshit. And too many fucking jumpgates. Oh, and the puzzle game mechanics aren't as fun. I don't know why the first one hooked me to such a degree, maybe I was in a bad place. I've heard the same thoughts from other corners of the net. I think with PQ1, the devs struck the right balance between simple puzzle gameplay and RPG-lite. Because all sequels must be "bigger, better & more badass" I'm guessing they "improved" both sides by making them more complicated resulting in ... yeah. Not good. Or at least that's what I think. I haven't even played the game yet!! Mo
toblix Posted March 9, 2009 Is your name Mo, or did you accidentally?
SiN Posted March 10, 2009 lol, hard hitting questions as usual, toblix. Yeah, Mo is my name. I'd use my alias, but really, every single link on my sig will lead you to a site which tells you my real name and where I live, so I figure using an alias is a bit pointless now. Mo Cool, my sister is at Waterloo right now too. Good school. If/when I come visit her at school, I'll buy you a beer.
Nappi Posted March 10, 2009 The new puzzle mechanics seem overly complicated making it too hard to plan your and the opponent's moves ahead. Not sure if that really is the case though. That said, I'm playing the Puzzle Quest on iPhone right now and the game sure could have used some more variety.
SiN Posted March 11, 2009 @miffy: I'll definitely take you up on that offer. What program is your sister in? It is a nice school ... although, after nearly 5 years of it, I've had quite enough. Mo

miffy495 Posted March 11, 2009 She's in her first year of Biomed. Have another older sister who lives in Cambridge nearby, so the close family thing was a draw.
