I am so sick of seeing dumb shit like this in banners and stuff. At a company I used to work they once took out a full-page recruitment advert in an industry magazine that was an original painting of a mostly-naked girl wearing a thong and carrying a sword. It didn't even have anything to do with any game we were making at the time, and if anybody thought that it was a reflection of the type of women working at the company then they were wrong, and stupid, just like the advert was. As if the ideal clothing for swordfighting is bikini tops and thongs anyway. This shit is so ridiculous. Also, what kind of a dumb fucking bra is she wearing? I can just see that this was drawn up by an overweight ugly little nerd with one hand wrapped around his wacom pen and the other rubbing his crotch through his pants to bring himself off. It's so super fucking retarded. Do men even know what the purpose of bras are? And also those panties have a buckle, why? Why do they have a buckle? Has the man who has created this piece of art ever tried wearing panties with a metal buckle? Probably not. Or is it a swimsuit? Why is she wearing a swimsuit? And if she's wearing a swimsuit then why is the top bit so retarded? If that was a real bikini top it would be very uncomfortable to wear whilst swimming, and would constantly require "readjusting". Basically there is no excuse for how fucking stupid and retarded this whole banner is. And it's got a review on the banner from it's own forums. From the looks of a few shots i've seen of Mass Effect 2 they've uped the tit factor. Which could have been an influence from the ridiculous DA stuff; look at the concept art, it's fucking normal, but then the game theres less clothing and more silicon! If they're even wearing any jeans, which they're probably not. It's just embarrassing at this stage. I mean, 15 years ago or so when everyone working in the industry WAS probably a young guy who thought this kind of thing was cool - okay, fair enough. But it's been like two decades now and it's still the same as it ever was. Maybe worse, because now the breasts can have their own special physics, and their constantly erect nipples are in higher definition. It's just painfully embarrassing. Is it just me, or do games seem to think that all a woman needs to protect from weapons, fire, lightning, the cold, etc are her nipples and crotch? (The ass is optional.) Women love to take their clothes off in games. Even if it's something basic like showing off a leg for no reason whatsoever, like in Trine. Why is this? Murdoc Posted January 14, 2010 I remember a really long time ago IGN did an artcle on fantasy armor for women in video games(It was around Ultima Online days) they had some really good comparisons and did concepts for what would be more practical; I think UO had some pretty good options for women(am I wrong?) but their concept I have yet to see in any game that wasn't trying to make the womab a thick biker lesbian with a brush cut.
