Jake Posted May 16, 2011 Yeah Shacknews finally decided they were done hosting copies of Thumbs and killed them from their CDN server. I wish they would have somehow told us but hey. The Thumb admin tools even have this situation planned for, where an MP3 can have multiple download sources. That's not to say we ever set up more than one source for most files... Jake Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I have 95% of the episodes locally on my iTunes (100% of them are on my dead laptop). iTunes has unfortunately decided to be helpful and rename all of the files for me, though, which is frustrating. I'll be putting as many as I have back together / up starting tonight. A couple blasts and "no episode this week!" notices will be missing for the meantime. Because the <guid> tag in the RSS feed actually provides a working link to some of the podcasts and you have the filename there. colinp Posted May 17, 2011 Thanks for taking the time to put them back up Jake! I live in Iwate, Japan which is one of the prefectures whose coast was devastated by the quake in March. I am sufficiently inland but there is a trauma that I think all of us are still dealing with whether we were inland or not. Didn't mean to make this such a personal post, just wanted to express my appreciation and that you are doing this for a very good cause, even if you don't realize it. I could possibly be of assistance should you still need it Jake. edit: Nevermind, I have the iTunes versions of them, so it's labelled differently than the Direct MP3 download in the archives.
