Twig Posted August 28, 2012 OH GOD I forgot I like taking pictures. I just went and looked at my Flickr account and man that's some fun stuff (although not necessarily good). Most of my photos are no longer available, because my pro account has lapsed, but I plan to renew soon so ALL will be available (including the thousands of billions of hundreds of Japan photos that are mostly awful because that's where I first started learning how to not take awful pictures - I plan to clean that out some day... somehow). Also, I can't link the super-big-size photos, but that's fine. Oh well. I'll randomly pick and choose some craps that I especially like from olden times. Maybe you guys will enjoy them. X: Enough text time for pitchers. As you can see, I like sunsets/sunrises. BUT WHO DOESN'T. U: I really want to start PHOTO'ING again. I'd also like to take a class, maybe, to learn a lot of the basics that I never learned. Mostly, just what the fuck is an f-stop. That sort of thing. Thrik Posted August 28, 2012 Sweet, love those sunsets — especially the last one. I also enjoy thinking that some hilariously drunken guy accidentally walked into the water with his kebab and sank, leaving only his kebab. Sorted out some food shots from Leeds: Big versions on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryanjw/

Thrik Posted August 31, 2012 Haha, awesome. I didn't even spot the crab for a moment, the little shit. Puts me right off walking on beaches. Here are my Leeds museum shots, or at least half of them (plus a few of the hotel room): Large versions here: Flickr
Plyem Posted September 14, 2012 All I have is my itty bitty iPhone camera but here are two I took that I've always liked.

Then you posted Leeds museum pics... so was it Chapeltown Festival?

Thrik Posted October 20, 2012 Went to the UK's biggest zoo (AFAIK) last week, took a crazy amount of photos but the red pandas (also known as the firefox) were the highlight — holy shit these things are cute and hilarious to watch. These dudes were pretty awesome too:
Kolzig Posted November 4, 2012 Here's are couple of pics from our trip to Lapland a few weeks ago. Taken by my wife with Canon Powershot G11. I can't take pictures so she has the credit for these. I'm the guy in the 3rd picture, I just like the edge of the world feeling in that picture.
racingfreak92 Posted December 15, 2012 When I moved to college my parents made me get rid of the majority of my game magazine collection, among the magazines I trashed was a 99% complete collection of Nintendo Power magazines from the first issue to around the Gamecube release. I did go through each issue however and remove all the pull out posters, so this has got to be just about all of them from 88-2000.
Thrik Posted January 18, 2013 Quote That is such a splendid photo. Looks cold as knackers. Here is a cat:
Salacious Snake Posted January 18, 2013 That's a very cute cat. I went to the basketball recently. I snagged a few shots of the electric violinist half-time show. This new arena is pretty crazy.

James Posted January 18, 2013 Potentially getting stuck at work day! It's unlikely, though. It only started snowing an hour or so ago, and not heavily: If the station's going to close, it generally happens in the morning. I've never yet been stranded at work. Armchair General Posted January 18, 2013 Ha! Love BRKL's post - pretty much sums up how rubbish we are in the UK when it comes to 'not mild weather'.
brkl Posted January 18, 2013 To be fair, it's not like we just gut it out. You need a big infrastructure to deal with snow (tires with studs, tons of people operating vehicles with snowplows to keep the roads clear etc.). You need to have all that stuff prepared and it probably wouldn't make much sense in Britain.
