_D_A_N_M_ Posted September 3, 2012 Hi all, I've just started reading Wolf Of The Deep, about the captain of the Confederate commerce raider CSS Alabama. The subject matter is immensely interesting, and the author clearly has a lot of love for it. It's a fairly short book but I thought it could have done with a little editing; it's a while before the meat of the narrative begins. It's one of several books I've been reading researching this aspect of the war, and I was talking to a friend of mine last night who runs a comics publisher here in the UK and he said the story of a CS navy ship could make a great comic.
