General Fuzzy McBitty Posted March 29, 2005 So... how is it?
toblix Posted May 1, 2005 I've only played it for about a half hour, but it feels a bit like being thrown into a hole filled with ideas.
JoeX111 Posted May 2, 2005 If you've played it for a half hour, then you essentially know everything you are going to be doing for the rest of the game. The world looks great and the plot is interesting, but the gameplay repeats itself over and over and over and over and over and over again without offering up any real variation. Want to advance to the next plot point? Go kill this person, then get in your ship and fight him (killing him several more times), then race his best friend, then get out of your ship and call me from a pay phone, because despite the fact that I can contact you while you are flying, you cannot do the same. Now repeat that to yourself while banging your head against a wall about four thousand times and you have a vague idea of what you'll be doing for the rest of the game. Erkki Posted May 2, 2005 I suspected that. Thankfully I already lost interest some time ago.
toblix Posted May 2, 2005 This sucks. First, Stronghold 2 lures me in with its early Settlers-esque high-detail resource-management gameplay, only to suck with its messed up difficulty curve and combat focus, and then this. It's weird, though, because Scrapland is absolutely gorgeus, but I got the feeling early on that there really wouldn't be much to do. What now, then?
JoeX111 Posted May 3, 2005 What now, then? Hmm.....PSYCHONAUTS?!
